Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and managing financial transactions within a retail environment. The accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our pet shop, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and providing insights into improving profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records for daily transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payroll.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Inventory Control: Track inventory purchases, costs, and ensure the accurate reflection of inventory values.
Tax Compliance: Handle tax filings, including sales tax, income tax, and payroll tax.
Payroll Management: Process payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments and deductions.
Accounts Payab incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring bills are paid on time and payments are collected from customers promptly.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with budgeting, planning, and forecasting for the pet shop’s financial future.
Cost Management: Identify areas to reduce costs and improve financial efficiency.
Advisory: Provide financial advice to the management team to support business decisions.
