This position entails performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial compressed air systems.
The main responsibility is to perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on malfunctioning air compressors by determining the causes for issues and perform those repairs based on the diagnosis.
General Responsibilities:
Travel to customer job sites to troubleshoot and maintain industrial equipment, specifically rotary screw air compressors, various types of air dryers and other air system components.
Capable to overhaul screw airend.
Installation, commissioning and technical assistance on equipment start-ups.
Read and comprehend operational manuals, electrical diagrams and mechanical flow diagrams and parts breakdowns.
Document service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job.
Maintaining service vehicle with proper equipment, tools, and parts to promote efficient, factory approved methods for servicing equipment.
2+ years of service work related to industrial equipment (compressed air, HVAC, chillers, vacuum etc...).
Working knowledge of compressed air systems and associated components.
Knowledge of electrical diagrams and mechanical flow diagrams.
Experience with three phase electrical, and plumbing systems (aluminum piping) is a plus.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A positive attitude and a dedication to learning – must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license
