We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Website Developer to join our dynamic team to build and maintain an innovative and scalable eCommerce shopping portal. As a Full Stack Developer, you will work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to ensure the website’s frontend and backend are seamlessly integrated to deliver a smooth, fast, and secure shopping experience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Website Development:**
- Design, develop, and maintain both the front-end and back-end of the eCommerce platform.
- Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces with modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React or Angular).
- Develop robust, scalable, and secure back-end services (Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.) and integrate with third-party services like payment gateways, email services, etc.
2. **Ecommerce Features & Integrations:**
- Integrate and maintain ecommerce functionalities such as product catalogs, shopping carts, customer accounts, checkout processes, and order management systems.
- Implement features like payment gateway integrations (PayPal, Stripe, etc.), inventory management, discount and coupon systems, and tax calculation.
3. **Database Management:**
- Design and maintain efficient database schemas and ensure smooth data flow between the front-end and back-end (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Handle product data, customer information, and transactional data securely.
4. **Performance Optimization:**
- Continuously improve site performance, speed, and scalability.
- Implement caching strategies, minimize latency, and optimize for high traffic loads.
5. **Testing & Debugging:**
- Write unit tests, conduct debugging and troubleshooting to resolve issues quickly.
- Perform code reviews to ensure clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
6. **Security & Compliance:**
- Ensure the website follows security best practices (data encryption, secure authentication, and authorization protocols).
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and ensure compliance with data protection laws (GDPR, PCI DSS, etc.).
7. **Collaboration & Communication:**
- Work closely with the design team to ensure seamless user experience (UX) and user interface (UI).
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of new features and bug fixes.
8. **Maintenance & Updates:**
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and updates to the website to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support as needed.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Strong experience in back-end development (Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.).
- Solid understanding of database management (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Experience with eCommerce platforms and payment gateway integrations.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
- Experience in working with cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
**Preferred Skills:**
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and pipelines.
- Experience in mobile-first and responsive web design.
- Previous experience working with large-scale eCommerce websites or platforms.
**Education & Experience:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on eCommerce solutions.
