Job Description:
A local school is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Middle School to provide leadership and oversight of the Middle School (Grades 6-8). The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering a positive learning environment, guiding students’ academic, social, and emotional development, and leading a team of educators. This role is critical to maintaining high standards of academic excellence and creating a supportive, inclusive school culture.
Responsibilities:•Provide leadership in all aspects of the middle school’s operation, including curriculum development, student support, and teacher supervision•Ensure that school policies are effectively implemented and adhered to•Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff•Oversee the evaluation and development of teaching practices•Monitor student progress and provide necessary interventions for academic and behavioral issues•Collaborate with senior leadership in setting strategic goals for the middle school•Lead initiatives to promote inclusivity and student engagement
Qualifications:•Master’s degree in Education or a related field (preferred)•Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience and 3 years of leadership experience in a middle school setting•Strong understanding of middle school curriculum and pedagogy•Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills•Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
