Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of specialized experience in procurement within the electromechanical contracting industry. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of materials and services, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management: Oversee the entire procurement process, from identifying procurement needs to contract management, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate market trends, and maintain a comprehensive database of reliable suppliers.

Cost Control: Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on quality, ensuring optimal use of company resources.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all procured materials and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring the availability of necessary materials while minimizing excess stock.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering, project management, and finance, to align procurement activities with project needs and company objectives.


Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:
Education: Ideally a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a procurement role within the electromechanical contracting industry in the GCC region.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
In-depth knowledge of the electromechanical contracting industry.
Understanding of local and international procurement regulations and standards.
Personal Attributes:
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Salary: Negotiable
