We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with experience in the contracting industry to manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project-based accounting and the unique financial aspects of the steel contracting business.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Handle project-based accounting, including job costing and progress billing
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and prepare tax returns
Assist in financial audits and implement internal controls
Manage cash flow and reconcile bank statements
Coordinate with project managers to track project expenses and revenues
Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the contracting industry
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards and tax regulations
Experience with project-based accounting and job costing
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
