Position Overview:
The Multi-skilled Team Member holds a versatile and pivotal role, encompassing various responsibilities across cashiering, waitstaff, kitchen operations, and food preparation. This dynamic position requires proficiency in cashiering, serving customers, operating kitchen equipment, and preparing a range of menu items. Key Responsibilities:
Cashier Duties:
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders, ensuring accuracy and efficient order processing.
Handle cash transactions, operate the point-of-sale system, and provide correct change to customers.
Maintain a clean and organized cashier area.
Waitstaff Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and friendly service to guests, taking orders, and serving food in a timely manner. Answer customer questions, offer menu recommendations, and address concerns professionally.
Ensure that tables are clean and well-set for the next guests.
Kitchen Operations:
Participate in kitchen operations, including frying and preparing sandwiches, and cooking various menu items.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards while handling ingredients, cooking, and food storage.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and alerting the team when supplies are running low.
Food Preparation:
Follow recipes and preparation guidelines to ensure consistent and high-quality food products.
Contribute to food prep tasks, such as cutting, marinating, and assembling ingredients.
Assist in preparing a diverse range of menu items as required.
Operational Support:
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils after use.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and smooth transitions between roles.
Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Prior experience in cashiering, waitstaff, kitchen operations, and food preparation within the food service industry is preferred.
Knowledge of point-of-sale systems, cash handling procedures, and customer service etiquette.
Familiarity with menu items, ingredients, and food preparation techniques.
Ability to multitask and switch between roles with agility, adapting to evolving demands.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Reporting Structure:
The Multi-skilled Team Member reports directly to the Shift Supervisor or Assistant Restaurant Manager. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high service standards across cashiering, waitstaff, and kitchen functions. Effective teamwork and communication are crucial for success in this dynamic and multifaceted position.
