Job Description

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES
- Ensure that the entire workplace in orderly manner clean, tables, chairs align, counters, roof, side walls to floor ambiance, furniture, fixtures, sculptures, display props.
- Take orders by suggesting to guest and confirming receiving orders! Always upsell to maximize the outlet’s revenue.
- Serve the guests professionally and in courteous manner from the beginning arrival of the guest, through the course of guest stay, meal service until the guests depart from the restaurant.
- Prepare accurate itemize guest checks as per consumption, present it in professional manner, collect payment and return receipt promptly
- Monitor the outlet’s operation cost whilst ensuring the restaurant’s equipment, supplies and stocks are adequate for the business demand.
- Help improve the quality of service by encouraging guests to make comments using the appropriate measures (Tripadvisor, Revinate etc.)
- Monitor each guest experience.
- Ensure customer’s satisfaction by talking to guests.
- Ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ensure presence on the floor during peak hours.
- Uphold a warm and friendly working environment.
- Ensure monitor the records essential to the operation the mis-en-place is ready for service i.e. cutlery, crockery, glassware, condiments, linen, disinfection liquid, service stations, stationary, guest supplies general store requisitions and stocks are maintain as per operational par stocks. Ensure prompt reporting or submission.
- Keep all equipment clean and in good working condition and reporting problems immediately to all and the Supervisor or Manager for action taking.
- Promote and upsell the lounge to all the guests who walks in for enquiring about the lounge.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhering to hotel guiding principles.
- Adhere to the Hotel’s policies and the department’s standards of operation and be aware of the company’s work ethics and code of conduct.
- Be aware of the Hotel’s Health, Safety and Security policies and procedures and be actively involved with the endeavors of the hotel towards sustainability through recycling and conservation of energy and water
- Understand the government and hotel Food Safety regulations and ensure associate members are well trained.
- Adhere to the Lost and Found procedures of the hotel in ensuring safety of the guests’ property
- Accept that the working hours are in accordance with the demand of the business, anticipate the volume of guests taking into consideration the occupancy of the hotel, holidays, weather and other events taking place in the hotel and in Dubai; overtime and days in lieu will be paid at the discretion of the management.
- Represent the Department and the Hotel through grooming and right attitude and check that associate members are adhering to the same.
- Extend assistance to other departments if required or necessary, develop and maintain corrective and cooperative working relationship with colleagues.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Provide guests with information about hotel facilities and local areas, including giving Directions.
- Provide personalized service to guests and anticipate their needs that can lead to guest loyalty
- Assist assigned associate in welcoming receiving and seating the guests is priority.
- Answering calls, taking reservatio check-ins especially during peak hours and during guest departure.
- Be prepared promptly to receive incoming guest accordance to the set standard to accommodate turnover.
- Have a sound knowledge and always be updated with the menu, beverages, daily specials, hotel promotions and be ready to explain the items upon request to assist the guests in making selections
- Attendance at all scheduled training sessions, briefings and communication meetings is required.
- Resolve any customer complaints related to all our services.
- Perform the duties and responsibilities assigned by the seniors.
- Compliance with Greeting and seating process, lounges receptionist process, bar process, cashiering process, handling guest complaints as per all available SOP’s
- Adhere to various checklist in place for smooth operation


Candidate Requirements

- A degree in a relevant field or a combination of secondary education and experience.
- Three years of extensive experience in restaurant operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision and direction.
