We are looking for a competitive Insurance Agent to generate new business by contacting potential customers. You will sell, solicit, differentiate and negotiate insurance plans that match the needs of your assigned or prospective customers’ portfolio.
The goal is to build up strong positive relationships, to ensure growth attainment and increase our firm’s reputation.
Promote the insurance agency to customers who need insurance
Network with potential customers
Educate customers on each type of insurance coverage and make recommendations based on their needs
Evaluate current insurance policies and recommend additional coverage when needed
Maintain all insurance documents in a confidential way
Requirements
Proven working experience as an Insurance Agent or relevant experience
Familiarity with all types of insurance plans (Motors , fire, life, property, Marine, medical etc)
Strong sales skills to meet sales goals, increase your customer base and cross-sell related insurance packages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding customer service skills
Analytical skills and the ability to quickly add, subtract, divide and multiply percentages
Patience and persistence; Insurance Agents may need to wait until potential customers are ready to renew their package or until their insurance needs to be changed
Positive attitude, empathy and enthusiasm
Strong computer skills and ability to use various software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, insurance quoting software and customer relationship management software
Ability to work with limited supervision
Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving sales objectives
Experience quoting multiple lines of insurance
